REST-FULL SLEEP

Good sleep is a popular topic.  Here’s a few reminders I practice:
  • Avoid alcohol, caffeine and heavy meals in the evening.  Remember to finish eating at least 2-3 hours before bed (and don’t overeat).  Our bodies make heat when digesting.  Allow yourself to recharge by honoring the natural cycles – don’t add a load for your body to process before bed.
  • Get sunlight – go outside!  Open your curtains/blinds.
  • Get your daily exercise (even if it’s just a dance to Tina Turner).
  • Calm yourself a half an hour before sleep – take a bath, read a book, meditate, stretch, breathe, listen to soothing music, dim the lights, get a massage.
